INFORMATION COLLECTED

The Firm collects “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks. Personal Information includes names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth and/or home addresses, which you submit to us through the website’s contact form(s) or client portal.  The Firm does not collect Personal Information, except when such information is submitted via the website.  

SERVER LOG INFORMATION

When you visit SCL PLLC website, you are identified as a unique IP address that is automatically collected in server logs. SCL PLLC uses this information to help diagnose problems with our server and to analyze server traffic to learn which pages on SCL PLLC website receive more or fewer visitors. This information is anonymous and cannot be traced back to a specific individual. Consistent with our professional obligations, we may provide Personal Information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with applicable law or when we otherwise believe in good faith that the provision of such information is required or permitted by law, such as in connection with the investigation or assertion of our legal defenses or for our compliance matters.

We will use and process your Personal Information for providing, promoting, and improving our legal services and complying with our legal and ethical obligations related to those legal services. In general, the Personal Information you provide to us is used to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to contact clients regarding their representation, contact users in response to questions, solicit feedback from users, provide technical support, and inform users about promotional offers.

SMS Opt-In: If you provide the Firm with your mobile telephone number via Firm website or portal, you agree to receive SMS messages from the Firm, including appointment reminders.  If you provide your mobile telephone number and do not wish to receive SMS messages from the Firm, please contact SCL PLLC’s privacy officer at: privacyofficer@sclucaslaw.com.

In general, we use Non-Personal Information to help us improve the website and customize the user experience. SCL PLLC website contains links to other external websites (“linked sites”) that we believe may be useful to SCL PLLC users and the public.
